Preface
The Bath International Film Festival is held annually at the Little Theatre Cinema in Bath, United Kingdom by ANAARTEM – Associação cultural association, and it proudly bears the EFFE Label 2024-2025 badge, an initiative by the European Festivals Association supported by the European Commission and Parliament. The Ocean Coast Film Festival is the sister festival of the Bath International Film Festival.
Objective
The objective of the Bath International Film Festival is to celebrate and stimulate contemporary British and international cinema through prizes and exhibition fees, and to entertain, enrich, and educate audiences about the world and film through diverse programs from around the globe.
Dates
The 7th edition of the Bath International Film Festival will be held in March and/or April 2025 at the Little Theatre Cinema in Bath, United Kingdom. Specific dates and venue will be announced later.
Sections
Registrations are accepted from:
Short Films – British and international film competition, duration from 30:01 (mm) to 01:00:00 (hh:mm), and unreleased or first premiered since January 2023 (inclusive).
Micro Films – British and international film competition, duration from 01:01 (mm) to 05:00 (mm), and unreleased or first premiered since January 2023 (inclusive).
Nano Films – British film competition, duration up to 01:00 (mm), and unreleased or first premiered since January 2023 (inclusive).
Entry Requirements
Films unreleased or first premiered since January 2023 (inclusive).
Filmmakers of any age or nationality may participate.
Animations, documentaries, fiction, and experimental films are accepted.
Other types of films are not accepted.
Films containing defamation, threats, pornography, racism, racial attacks, or violating UK laws will not be accepted. In other words, any inappropriate films are strictly prohibited.
There is no limit to the number of submissions per participant as long as they comply with these regulations.
There is no premiere policy; films may be released online.
Films directed or produced by individuals associated with the organizing entity are not accepted in the competition units.
Participants are responsible for indicating the film's participation section at the time of registration.
Subtitles
Films in English do not require subtitles.
Films in other languages must be subtitled in English.
The organization will translate and subtitle competition films in other languages into English.
Jury
The jury will consist of three individuals invited by the festival management.
Individuals with a direct interest in the production and/or use of competition films will not be eligible to join the jury.
The composition of the jury will be announced in early 2025 on the festival's website and social media.
Awards
In reasonable circumstances, the jury may decide to award honorary prizes.
Awards will not be given according to the principle of equality.

Organizers cannot pay prizes in countries/regions where these payment methods are not available.
Payments will be made within 31 days after the festival ends using detailed information provided by participants.
Screening Fees
In the competition section, organizers will pay a screening fee of €0.05 per second per film, excluding points.
Where registration fees are waived, they may deduct registration fees within the scope of Article 10 of these regulations.
The maximum screening fees per film are:
oShort Films: €180.00
oMicro Films: €15.00
oNano Films: €3.00

Re-registration
Films registered in previous editions but not selected and meeting the requirements of the current version are accepted.
Ignore the following message for re-registration: "You have previously submitted this project to this festival."
Films selected in previous editions of the festival are not accepted.
Selection
Festival management is responsible for selecting all films for screening.
Official selection results will be announced by January 15, 2025, via email, festival website, and social media.
All selected films will receive participation certificates.
Screening Copies
Screening copies must be in MP4 format and must be accompanied by the following information for the catalogue: synopsis and photo.
The festival may exceptionally accept screening copies in formats other than those specified.
Copyright
Copyright is the sole responsibility of the authors.
Each participant guarantees that the film is their own, takes responsibility for its content, and that the film does not infringe any third-party copyrights, related rights, or industrial property rights.
In cases involving individuals, participants guarantee that their exhibition is authorized and take responsibility for any infringement of rights, including portrait rights, privacy rights, and other rights.
Guests
The organizing body may invite filmmakers to screen films in a non-competitive format.
The organizing body does not pay screening fees for invited films.
Copyright for invited films is the responsibility of their authors.
All participating filmmakers are invited to attend the Bath International Film Festival.
